Legal

Privacy policy

Sashimii is built to keep your recordings on your Mac. This page explains what that means for the app and for this website.

Draft. This policy will be reviewed before Sashimii launches. Details marked [to confirm] depend on decisions not made yet.

Who we are

Sashimii is made by [legal entity name, to confirm], [address, to confirm] (“we”). For anything about your data, email [email protected].

The Sashimii app

Your media stays on your Mac

Sashimii transcribes and processes your video and audio files on your own computer. We don’t receive your recordings, transcripts, projects or edits, and the app doesn’t require an account.

AI agents you connect

Sashimii can work with an AI agent you choose and run yourself, such as Claude Code or Codex. When you ask your agent to draft a cut or build a graphic, it reads the project files it needs, including the transcript, and may send them to its provider. That exchange is between you and your agent’s provider and is covered by their terms and privacy policy, not ours. We don’t receive it.

Licensing and updates

[To confirm once licensing is decided: whether the app checks a licence key or looks for updates, and what that request contains.]

Crash reports

[To confirm: Sashimii doesn’t send crash reports or usage analytics unless this section says otherwise.]

This website

Beta signup

If you join the beta, we store your email address so we can tell you when the beta opens and send occasional product updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. Signups are handled by [email provider, to confirm], who processes your address on our behalf.

Analytics and cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. [To confirm: whether we use cookie-free, aggregate visit counts from our host.]

Hosting

The site is static and served by [host, to confirm]. Like any web server, the host processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page, and email beta subscribers about any significant change.
